CHOOSE A DESTINATION

Deciding where to go can be hard. Pick a place that suits your desires; do you want to relax at the beach? Do you want to explore foreign cultures? Do you want to go on a Safari? Staying nearby the popular landmarks is always a good idea, it saves you time travelling and money on transport.

CHOOSE DATES

Depending on your place of choice, it is a good idea to know the peak tourist seasons. If you want a relaxed holiday, it may be a great idea to visit during the low season, it is also a cheaper option. Make sure to research weather conditions during your desired stay, is it monsoon season? Is it winter? Is the temperature too hot?

BOOK

When looking for stays, reading reviews is a great way to understand wether or not the hotel is worth staying at. When booking, don't forget to read the terms and conditions of the hotel policy. Does the hotel allow cancellations? Do you pay the room at the hotel or beforehand? Does the hotel provide airport transfers? Do you have to pay any unforeseen tax when you arrive? When booking, it is often cheaper to book directly from the hotel website. Make sure to not search the same dates, cities and stays too often and use a private browser to ensure prices don't spike. Lastly, relax and enjoy your stay!

These are some of the reliable websites I recommend to book hotels and stays at for your holidays:

  • Booking.com

  • Expedia

  • Hostelworld

  • Trivago

other TIPS

  • Check if the hotel offers booking discounts using your air miles/ bank card perks and more
